Events Rock Circus to Benefit Food Security Partners Sept. 24

Local rock bands, circus performers and other artists will stage a Rock Circus on Sept. 24 at Mercy Lounge. Local bands Team Illuminati, The Comfies, The Telecommunicators and Happy Birthday Amy will participate, along with Doyle and Debbie, The Love Drums, Daniel Tashian of Silver Seas. Expect an evening of stage magic, face painting, live performance painters, circus-themed audience games, jugglers and hula hoopers.
The 18-and-up show starts at 8:30 p.m. and costs $6 in advance and $7 and $10 at the door. Proceeds benefit Food Security Partners' efforts to bring fresh produce and good food to underserved areas with limited transportation and no grocery stores.
