Manna From YouTube

Posted by Carrington Fox on Tue, Sep 15, 2009 at 6:05 AM

At the risk of coming off like one of those photojournalists who's too lazy to get out of the car so all their photographs actually have either the side mirror or the steering wheel out of focus in the foreground, I offer this silent video tour of Manna Korean restaurant on Charlotte. When I've driven by Manna, it's never been clear to me whether the restaurant was actually open for business, so I've never dined there. But I know at least one diner who is a passionate devotee and another who is equally passionate about the place--sans the devotion.

Here's the two-part question:

1. Do you have firsthand experience at--or opinion about--Manna?

2. Can you suggest the perfect background music for this silent footage?

1. Not yet, but "veggies-a bit like spinach" has me intrigued.
2. Just use "Pachelbel's Canon" like every other lazy dissolve pic dump on YouTube.

Top idea. Pachelbel's Canon immediately elevates any establishment to the level of Potential Wedding Reception Venue. Everyone knows that.

I shopped at the attached market back when it was an Asian market near the newspaper. But it was all Korean stuff, my least favorite Asian cuisine.
How about the Rave-Ups "I Kinda Like This Place" for the sound track.
