And what to my wondering eyes should appear beside the cash register at La Hacienda? A freezer full of Las Paletas. Oh, happy day!
The Paz sisters' Throwdown-winning ice pops have made their way from the near-clandestine paletas boutique on 12th Avenue South to the beloved taqueria on Nolensville Road, where a jewel-colored frosty array of hibiscus, chocolate-coconut, chocolate chip, Mexican caramel, avocado and more are available for $2.50...a pop.
Somebody over at LaHa must have sprouted a sweet tooth recently, because a display case of churros (Mexican doughnuts) also debuted on the counter beside the register. (Though, as for that, if you've really got a hankering for fried dough, you'd be well advised to take a couple of right turns out of the parking lot and cross your fingers that the red light is on at the Krispy Kreme on Thompson Lane.)

That's awesome news. We usually stop at Las Paletas on our way back home after La Hacienda. How many flavors are they stocking? Half the fun is seeing what is being made on any particular day.
I got dragged against my will to Blue Coast Burrito at Nashville West last weekend and was surprised to see official Las Paletas paletas for sale there - and lots of flavors. I had three in lieu of a rice-filled burrito and had the best meal at the table.
