Closed, Closed: Tomato, Tomato

Posted by Carrington Fox on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 11:12 AM

Tomato, Tomato, the charming pizzeria in Murfreesboro, has closed. Molly Murphree, who co-owned the 2-year-old eatery with her brother, chef Mitchell, says the decision was made to focus on their original Five Senses restaurant, which will start serving lunch on Monday, Aug. 31.

Located at 1602 W. Northfield Blvd in the 'Boro, Five Senses will serve lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, in addition to dinner nightly.

The Five Senses people owned Tomato, Tomato? That explains the pizza everyone raved about. I had a really good meal at Five Senses in 2007.

Man, I always meant to make my way there but never have. I hope 5 Senses has pizzas. Maybe, I'll make a point to go now.

Not trying to be a stick in the mud here----but I tried their lunch buffet about a year ago.
TT's buffet was on the order of CiCi's pizza with fewer selections.I never looked back after that abysmal $7(I think)lunch.
Just my opinion.
