Blame the French Maids for Area Hardee's Harassment Suit

Posted by Nicki Wood on Mon, Aug 24, 2009 at 11:34 AM

Just two weeks after the four lithe French maids came through our offices with pulchritude and French Dip Thickburgers
comes word of a sexual harassment suit against a Hardee's manager in Goodlettsville.

A female employee filed charges in Circuit Court August 14 against CKE Restaurants d.b.a. Hardee's, charging that her manager at the Hardee's told her she needed "to get some" and recommended "getting off" with a spiked, rubber-tipped pencil. He allegedly speculated about her sex life in front of other employees, asked her to guess the length of his penis in comparison with a ladle that he held in front of his crotch, and played security tape footage of the plaintiff, narrating it with a sexually explicit story.

The suit claims the victim reported the incidents to a district manager and to a corporate human resources officer, who said the manager was "having a bad day," the suit alleges.

The suit seeks $300,000 from Hardee's.

So apparently sexism is more than just a marketing scheme for Hardees, and it's not just the burgers that are disgusting. Sad.
*in all fairness I've never had a Hardees burger, but they don't look appetizing at all.

I'm guessing an espresso spoon would have made for a more apt comparison...
