So far this week I have enjoyed two "fast casual" dining experiences for lunch. At the first restaurant, FOX News was blaring in the background from the television in the corner of dining room. Today's lunchtime new source was Al-Jazeera.
How about you? Do you let the infotainment help determine your dining locale?
p.s. Both joints had a Scene box and a stack of City Papers. Just sayin' is all...

I was just thinking about this the other day as I was sitting at some now forgotten restaurant (Pie in the Sky?) waiting for my food and noticing the TV behind the bar was showing Food Network. Not really a back-to-the-wall experience, though it certainly struck me as curious -- almost like they're saying, "Look what you COULD be doing."
According to Gallup, conservatives now outnumber liberals in most states. I'm just sayin'.

Hate that we can't edit comments. Change all 50 states to most states.
Editors note: I edited it for you. That's why I offered it without comment. So that y'all could comment instead. CLC
I actually saw this while I was watching Al-Jazeera during lunch: http://www.bigstoneradio.com/power106/source/modules.php?name=Video_Stream&page=watch&id=73&d=
I had to laugh that their definition of "health care for EVERYONE" meant Conan O'Brien, OJ Simpson, Jau Leno, Borat, Phil Spector and Eminem.
Unless it's a sports bar, I prefer my dining, "fast casual" or otherwise, to be sans television.
WIthout a doubt, the most scarily interesting lunch-media combo I have ever had was at Fujiyama on Charlotte Pike (in the shopping center with the Strike 'N Spare...). They do some good food and have a pretty OK sushi bar - BUT...playing above the sushi bar in 50 inches of high-definition LCD-TV was none other than Paula Deen, hocking butter and deep frying anything within reach...quite a culture clash.
I was there one night, though and they had the world Rugby championships on, though...the programming is, to say the least, diverse.
