Chef John Crow Taking Over The Standard

Posted by Carrington Fox on Fri, Aug 7, 2009 at 1:51 PM

Chef John David Crow, an alumnus of 360 Bistro and Wildwood Oak-Fired Kitchen, is taking over the kitchen at The Standard, the 3-year-old restaurant located in a historic townhouse on Eighth Avenue.

Crow replaces chef Joe Shaw, who steps in as chef at the Miro District on Monday. Shaw announced the changeover last night at a wine dinner prepared jointly by Shaw and Crow. Chef Steve Padilla, who manned the kitchen at the time that owner Joshua Smith launched The Standard, returns to the restaurant to work with Crow.

Located at 167 Rosa Parks Blvd. The Standard serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday and is home to the members-only Standard Club, a private bar and cigar club.
