News Amerigo Veterans Purchase Chain

Amerigo Restaurants have been purchased out of receivership by JHS Holdings, LLC. The transaction includes restaurants in Nashville, Brentwood and Memphis, as well as Ridgeland, Miss. The purchase also includes Char Restaurant, a steakhouse in Jackson, Miss.
JHS Holdings is a group of longtime Amerigo management, including 20-year veteran Doug Hogrefe, senior operator of the Amerigo Restaurants in Nashville and Brentwood; Paul Schramkowski, executive chef of all Amerigo Restaurants and Char Restaurant; and David Joseph, 20-year veteran and senior operator of the Amerigo and Char stores in Mississippi.
The restaurant chain had been in receivership for six months after the previous owner, Vivid Restaurant Concepts, could not meet loan requirements.
