The Rep Kick Off 25th Season at The Acorn With 'Nashville Scenes'

In celebration of the Tennessee Rep's 25th anniversary, The Acorn restaurant will host 'Nashville Scenes' Wednesday, July 29 from 6 to 8 p.m., featuring heavy hors d'oeuvres and previews of the season's performances. Producing artistic director René D. Copeland will offer commentary on the 2009-10 schedule of shows, including Steel Magnolias, A Christmas Story, Proof and Big River.

Mingle among Rep cast and staff, while nibbling on a repertoire of lump crab cakes with lemon and cracked pepper aioli; hummus and pita; Parmesan-laced tomato-and-olive oil bruschetta; roast beef with yeast rolls; and assorted petit fours. There will also be a cash bar.

Tickets are $25 and are available online or by calling 244-4878.

The Acorn is located at a 114 28th Ave. S.
