Whole Foods: As Free as a Bird, Now!

Posted by Carrington Fox on Tue, Jul 7, 2009 at 6:16 AM

Meatless Mondays, cookies for a dime and free compact fluorescent light bulbs are just a few of the goings-on at Whole Foods in Green Hills this month. After the jump, a list of promotions, benefits, cooking lessons and--wait for it--the inaugural Name That Cheese game show.

Here's a strategy for today: Stop by the store to get your 10-cent cookie (make mine a Jumble) and pick up a coupon for a free rotisserie chicken redeemable Wednesday, July 8 through Tuesday, July 14. Seriously, free chicken.

If you swing by to claim your chicken on Wednesday, you can also take advantage of 5 Percent Day to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Or go on '50s Friday, when the gelato/coffee bar is serving up shakes and floats to a Motown soundtrack. Wouldn't Lynyrd Skynyrd be more appropriate?

Every Monday 4 to 6 p.m.

That chicken is an amazing deal. Wonder if the purple asparagus is still in season....

I just got back from WF and they had no idea what I was talking about re: free chicken coupon. I had no choice but to drown my sorrows in dime cookies (limit 5).

Laura,
I'm sorry you had that experience. We passed out the free rotisserie chicken coupon beginning last Thursday and until we ran out (yesterday).
The cashiers and prepared foods team members should've known about that.
We ran out of dime cookies much earlier than normal today - we did another run of full sized cookies (limit 5) to make up for it.
WE WILL BE DOING DIME COOKIES (10 for $1) AGAIN NEXT TUESDAY - since so many of our customers didn't get to partake today.
We appreciate your shopping with us!
