The Ivy Restaurant Opens Downtown

Posted by Carrington Fox on Thu, Jun 18, 2009 at 6:46 AM

The Ivy restaurant opened downtown last week in the spot that formerly housed Karma boutique. Owned by Carolyn Ivy, the restaurant offers takeout and sit-down dining with a focus on breakfast and lunch, including stuffed-croissant French toast, omelet panini, salads, stuffed spuds, muffalettas, turkey bacon melts, and cake balls.

Located at 172 2nd Ave. N., #110 (phone: 730-5436), The Ivy is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. As always, if you get there before we do, please report back on Bites, especially about those cake balls.

I would like to enter in the running to accompany you on a potential food review. For career's sake, I am willing to consume a french toast croissant roll, a stuffed spud, AND a cake ball.

Breakfast. Downtown. What a concept!
Next, somebody will offer a sit-down special with 2 eggs over easy and a side of bacon with free coffee for under $5. Make that, under $4.
Well, one can dream, can't one.
