East Nashville eater-at-large Jack Silverman stopped by my desk with a menu from Tom's Elite Carryout, a new meat-and-three on Gallatin Road. With indoor and outdoor seating available, owners Tom Harper and Reuben Perrian offer a roster of steaks, burgers, barbecue, wings and Reuben's Rocking Ribs, all of which can be ordered ahead by fax or phone.
Tom's is located at 501 Gallatin Ave. (Phone: 891-1496, fax: 891-1497) and is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
As always, if you get there before we do, please report back on Bites.

Of course they have NO internet presence, not even a blog page. So you have to drive all the way there just to get one, buy your stuff, FORGET to take a menu and the cycle continues.
PUT UP A WEB PAGE!
I actually tested the email address yesterday, but when I got no response, I called last night and they said they are working toward email.
(I made them a blog)

I've tried everything but the steaks. It was all good. They have a very good selection of sides. Everything is either grilled or smoked. My kind of food. They are always polite. It has to be their religious background. Bless you all!!!!!!
I was reading comments and had to say something:
I don't know what Toms' carryout that Rick went to, but, it was not Toms'on 501 Gallatin Rd, their place is always clean, their food is very good. I've been going since it opened and I've not found anything bad. The people that work there is always polite, and if by chance something is wrong, they work very hard to correct and make sure your visit is very pleasant. I know they are new and people will judge them, but, give them a chance and you will see for yourself, and I am sure they will have a website.
I look forward to my next visit.
Keep up the good work and don't let know one stop you.
Tom's Elite was REDICULOUSLY good! My husband and I went for the first time tonight & had their smoked chicken w/ turnip greens, corn on the cob, & the some of the best blackberry cobbler I've ever had. Get over there East-Nashvillians!!! And everybody else too!

I WASN'T EVEN HUNGRY BUT I WANTED TO TASTE THEIR RIBS, I ORDERED A RIB SANDWICH AND IT CAME WITH SOME FRESHLY HEATED BUTERED TEXAS TOAST, I TOLD HIM YOU GUYS HAVE THE BEST RIBS IN TOWN, KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DOIN, MY WIFE LOVED THEM AND SHE DON'T EVEN LIKE RIBS..........I'M GETTING SOME TONITE FOR THE GAME..... My wife and I were at Bonnaroo and asked a Nashville local where were the best ribs in town, and he recommended us to Tom'e Elite - and, as white middle aged Californians, we don't know ribs, obviously, but its gotta be said, but these ribs were possibly the best I have ever tasted in my life, and that includes Memphis and Austin.
