Events / Urban Farming Nashville Civic Design Center Hosts Urban Farming Panel May 12

This month's CityTHINK presentation at the Nashville Civic Design Center features, wait for it, Urban Farming! Conversation will focus on edible landscapes and ideas related to developing local food supplies in Nashville.
Marcus Kerske and Peter Anderson from Gardens of Babylon will present examples of urban gardening and edible landscape projects in Nashville. Shavaun Evans with Food Security Partners of Middle Tennessee will discuss urban gardening related to food security. For the comic relief portion of the panel, yours truly will share the experience of attempting to transform a less-than-a-quarter-acre property into a farm-let.
CityTHINK takes place 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 12 at the Nashville Civic Design Center, located at 138 Second Avenue North, Suite 106.
