Farmers' Markets / Good advice / News / Travel Advisory Down Came the Rain-- Strawberry Crop Goes Bye-Bye

Earlier this month, we reported on berry picking days at Vine Hill Farm. Well put away the wellie boots and buckets in light of this sad dispatch. The relentless rain and overcast skies didn't allow the strawberries to dry out between downpours and the berry crop rotted on the vine, according to an email from farmers/owners Phyllis and Willis Gilliam.
