Cue up your "Eye of the Tiger" cassingle, dust off your gladiator metaphors and get yourself to Iron Fork! The Scene's annual showdown with five chefs and one secret ingredient heats up tonight at 6 p.m. with samplings from local restaurants and a Blue Moon beer garden.

Around 7 p.m., culinary competitors Jason Love, Jeremy Barlow, Guerry McComas, Bart Pickens and Tandy Wilson will enter Kitchen Coliseum at the Country Music Hall of Fame, where Delvin Farms and Whole Foods will unveil the secret ingredient. Chefs will have exactly one hour to prepare a meal for the judges, including last year's Iron Fork winner, Deb Paquette.

Will it be Battle Bottarga, Deathmatch Dill or Cinnamon Showdown? All will be revealed tonight when five of Nashville's finest chefs go to the mattresses to fight for the coveted Golden Fork!

Tickets are $40 at the door, and proceeds benefit St. Luke's Community House.

Great food and drinks last night, much better space and layout than last year - however the vast majority of the crowd was not able to know what was happening at all with the main event because the sound was terrible. Unless you were standing right up front, there was no way to understand what any of the announcers were saying - I could barely make out who won when that announced. I don't know if it was the accoustics in that space or the sound system or what, our group had fun eating and drinking and socializing but we had been looking forward to the competition aspect as well and were disappointed to not be able to keep up with that.

You'd think *someone* would have posted the results of the competition somewhere by now. Like, maybe, someone from the Scene?
