The Local Taco will unveil its cheap and cheerful menu of tacos, enchiladas, margaritas and beer on Monday, May 4, just in time for Cinco de Mayo. Located in the building that most recently housed Goldie's Deli, Local Taco is the maiden restaurant effort of John Ko, with help from Michael Sloane and restaurant veteran Jay Pennington, former owner of South Street and Bound'ry. When the restaurant opens, fellow Bound'ry alumnus Michael Cribb will be on hand helping get things rolling. Also in the kitchen will be chef Clay Greenberg, formerly of Lime and Virago, a neighborhood resident who is currently hatching his own entrepreneurial plan.
Located at 4501 Murphy Road, The Local Taco is opens at 11 a.m. and serves lunch and dinner. As always, if you get there before we do, please report back on Bites.
