Wouldn't it be great if the if the Herb Society of Nashville's annual herb sale were on 4/20? Maybe in two years, but this year, it's 4/18, this Saturday. If you've ever been, you know it's the place to get any culinary herbs or nonculinary herbs (like rue and santolina) you could ever imagine. It's ideal for picking up plants you want to grow but didn't start in time, or hard-to-grow herbs. I've always wanted to grow chervil, but never had any success at all. I'm also putting burnet and lovage on my "beyond basil" shopping list.
There's usually a big crowd, but go anyway. It's at the State Fairgrounds, in the sports arena. The Fairgrounds is also having a gun show, a bird show and a liquidation of some kind on Saturday, so you can make it a whole "lifestyles of other people" excursion. No pets please.
