Rumours East, the artsy restaurant and wine bar just off Five Points in East Nashville, is now owned by Kevin and Susan "Sam" Foley and chef Hernán Borda, who bought out founders Christy Shuff and Whitney Ferré in February. The Foleys originally invested in Rumours East in 2007.
Borda, who launched the original Rumours in 12 South with Shuff and Ferré, is now exclusively the chef at Rumours East. He will continue to create and execute the ever-changing menu, with the addition of a daily $5 happy hour tapas menu from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Foleys plan to emphasize private parties and events such as wine tastings and songwriters' nights.
