On March 28, if you a see a glowing yellow-and-white beacon just north of the pitch-black cityscape of downtown Nashville, that's probably DrinkHaus. Owner Kat Roos is observing Earth Hour by turning out the lights and holding a candlelit party in her lemon-colored coffee shop.
DrinkHaus' (electric) lights will go out from 8 to 9 p.m. That's a half-hour before the rest of downtown goes dark, so people can still see to gather. Roos will bake up a batch of goodies to sample, and she's gathering materials to showcase the local businesses in her Germantown neighborhood. There's no RSVP required.
DrinkHaus is located at 500 Madison Street.
