Wild Bill's Beignets & Bikes is my all-time favorite chopper-themed beignet boutique in the greater Nashville area. Assuming Wild Bill's makes it to fall, I'm pretty sure it will win best beignet-biker bar in the Scene's Best Of Nashville issue.
I just enjoyed a couple of Wild Bill's puffy beignets and a chicory iced coffee, which, let me say, made for the best combo of beignets and iced chicory coffee I have ever had in downtown Nashville. I'm not even kidding. I mean, if you are a Nashville-based-bike-themed-beignet-lover (grammatical note: you can remove any one those hyphens and this sentence probably still works), then Wild Bill's, wedged between the Palm and Rippy's, is definitely your go-to spot.
All kidding aside, Wild Bill's bizarre pairing of theme and cuisine is pretty endearing, as is its decor of bar tables made from bike rims and an exposed-brick wall bearing an advertising mural for a bygone hattery on Union Street.
If the concept works, gosh, just think of the niche possibilities: Gruesome Tim's Cakes and Ammo? Fat Sally's Crepes and Lingerie? Or, if we must stick with the alliterative pairings, Lazy Otis' Omelets and Optometry? Stinky Jack's Jams & Jalopies?
C'mon, Bites. There's a lot of real estate out there. Let's fill it up!

not to quibble with details, but it's not a biker bar at all, nor is it a place that sells bikes or bike parts, is it? It's a beignet and coffee shop with motorcyle parts and pieces for decor, but no bar with alcoholic bevvies and no bike parts for sale, right? I mean, I can't get new fork seals or a chrome sissy bar for my bike while they're dropping the beignets in the grease, can I, as I might get 30.06 shells while waiting for the happy birthday lettering on my cake at the proposed Gruesome Tim's?
That sounds about right, though I bet if you needed any of those things, you could have a word with Bill and he could hook you up.
Well, the name IS....Wild Bill's Beignets & Bikes. And as the name indicates, you can purchase both "Beignets" & "Bikes." From what I understand after speaking with Wild Bill, the bikes in the restaurant are for sale, and custom bikes or bike parts are available upon request. Also for sale are the pictures/artwork on the walls and the chrome billet wheel tables. If bike parts are what you're looking for, just ask Wild Bill, and I'm sure he can accomodate you.
By the way, I thought the beignets were FABULOUS!
