As a self-described "Rockstar Nutritionist," dietician-musician Jill Jayne puts the "pop" in "proper nutrition" and the "roc" in "broccoli." A bundle of energy who suggests what more fiber might do for Katy Perry, Jayne is kicking off her spring nutrition tour of schools across the country with a series of appearances here in Nashville.
She'll perform her "Jump with Jill" show 8:30 a.m. today at Julia Green Elementary School and 1:30 p.m. at Ruby Major Elementary School, then play to dietetic professionals (tough room, we're guessing) 6:30 p.m. at Lipscomb's Shamblin Theatre as part of the Tennessee Dietetic Association's annual conference. Expect to hear selections from her CD Get Me Goin' as well as her YouTube single "Beat of the Body."

You go girl! As a fellow RD, I love your message- it makes nutrition cool for kids! I wish you much success!
I think this is great, but just for fun, you should post this on Cream and see what happens.
Jill, I love your approach to teaching Nutrition to kids! Have you found that this approach is as effective with the older teens, or is it mostly for Kindergarten through 6 grade? I am a dietitian too, but I work mostly with adults now. I hope you visit the Boulder Valley School District - I think the kids would love your educational show here.
Best,
