News It's Official: Chipotle Chooses Area Location

Official word from Chipotle via email is that they will be opening an outlet in Nashville in October.
And it seems that they split the difference in the "Brentwood vs. Hendersonville" siting issue -- they've settled on a West End Avenue location.

Ok, to be completely honest, I've never been to Chipotle, so I really don't have any basis for this. I'm just excited because everyone else seems to be.
Mackey, that's exactly what I was thinking. But that spot is in a strange kind of desert -- no foot traffic, parking's not great, no office buildings right nearby. Where else on West End might it go?
One location I thought would be the strip where Jason's Deli and 5 Guys is, but it is across the street from Qdoba. (In that case it might as well take over Qdoba's space)
I also thought somewhere in the area of the Apple Market (Compton's) or in the strip where Ted's Montana Grill and Panera are. But that's a purely selfish reason because it would be within walking distance from my office. I have a feeling they will be within walking distance of Vandy for the student consumer population.
definitely could be where the old store you greek me greek used to be...since it all closed down and is steps from the central campus of vandy!
This is GREAT news....Nashville, you have suffered for too long with Qdoba, Blue Coast, Chili Burrito, etc etc...most of these are duplicates of the best and original burrito chain, Chipotle. Be very happy, this is a fantastic restaurant chain and will be very, very popular. I can not wait!!!!!!!
As excited as I was about moving back to TN this pass year I sure do miss my daily Chipotle fix..I can not wait.
I can only imagine this enthusiasm could be surpassed by In-N-Out. Personally, I'm not really interested in yet another version of a Tex-Mex Subway. Though I think it's nice that they indicate online that the cheese and black beans (but not the pintos) are vegetarian.
Chipotle is BY FAR the best mex food chain. It's a much better version of Moe's. Can't wait til it opens! YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
When is Chipotle opening this month? I have been waiting and petitioning them to open one up here by Vanderbilt, said it would be the prime spot due to the students and all. I WANT MY CHIPOTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
