News / Travel Advisory Red Door Saloon Expanding to Destin

Red Door Saloon, the popular watering hole with outposts on the East and West sides of the Cumberland River and one in Panama City Beach, Fla., is expanding to Destin, Fla., according to an article in The Destin Log. The fourth Door is expected to open in time for Spring Break, in a historic residence at 240 Harbor Blvd.

so lemme get this straight - you have a place you like to go to for a drink or a night. You go there after work to decompress after another dull day slogging away at the ol' grindstone, to meet with others, have a chat with your pint, dream of a world where you do what you want, curse the coming morning where you go back to work to wait until the hour when you can leave and go to your favorite place and commiserate about the day.
and then you go on vacation. Your day is filled with whatever it is you dreamed of doing when you sat in that place and talked of what you would do, if and when. and you drive past all the places that are different, new, old, rebuilt, needing rebuilding, and you go to
your favorite place you go to every day after work, just with different people, none of whom know you.
I get it. And I don't get it at all...
