Barfield's All-American Grille has closed, according to an
article in the Hendersonville Star News. A sister nameplate of Wildwood
Oak-Fired Kitchen in Bellevue, Barfield's anchored Hendersonville's Streets of Indian Lake outdoor shopping center, which debuted in March. Opened in June by owners Dave Wachtel III and Justin D. Tatum, Barfield's was touted as the flagship of a nascent chain of casual dining restaurants.

Ask not, radius10, Chadwicks, Ombi. Just a guess.
Well, then don't guess Tick Tock. There is enough rumor-mongering going on and there is no sense in adding to it. Just go out and eat.
Letter to Dave Wachtel concerning Barfields closing.
No paychecks huh! How can you sleep at night knowing that people with familys to feed and shelter, are not only out of a job without warning but, now you wont even pay them for the last two weeks of work they did for you! Im not talking about my little hundred dollar server check, im talking about managers and the cooks! Im sure your not starving or even changing your spoiled little boy lifestyle are you! You can erase the comment I made on your page but I WILL leave messages on everyone of the groups you are a part of on facebook telling the TRUTH about what you have done to those who worked their ass off for you cause im sure the version you tell all your friends and all your little girl groupies is far from what really happened! Im sure your daddy is looking down proud at you. What do you think?
Good Riddens, Mr. Wachtel. It's really sad how many lives you have effected.
Wait, a restaurant whose name starts with "Barf" closed? Imagine.
Radius10 did not look open when I drove by last night.
Why Ombi? I certainly know enough people who love it and eat there often enough to be considered regulars.
All Wildwood and Barfield's employees:
If you haven't been paid due wages (no matter how little you are owed) please contact the Tennessee Department of Labor.
Remember, it is illegal not to be paid due wages. It is also illegal for David Wachtel not to pay employment taxes.
MAKE HIM ACCOUNTABLE!!!!!!!

Quite unkind to predict the demise of open restaurants. Maybe those three have a disgruntled ex-employee in common?
I actually called Radius10 on Friday night to see what the deal was, and someone answered the phone "Radius10, may I help you," and said they were open for dinner.
I am a former employee of Radius, and I just received word from 2 different employees, that as of today they have laid everyone off, Jason Brumm resigned as partner of Radius 10, and the restaurant is now closed.
I Was The Assistant Kitchen Manager Of Barfields. I Busted My Ass For That Restaurant. Now Dave Thinks He Is Not Going To Pay His Employees. If You Worked For Barfields Contact Me. I'm Putting Together A Lawsuit Against Dave. If You Want In Let Me Know. I Have Already Made Arrangements With My Lawyer. We Will Get Paid One Way Or Another.
Jeremy - can you leave an email address?
What about Wildwood employees?
I don't have any firsthand knowledge, but my gut tells me that rumors of Radius 10's demise have been greatly exaggerated. I hope I'm not wrong.
"Davy Wachtel III is capable of starting a restaurant and being successful without using his Dad's resume."
or not. Oops.
Radius 10's demise is far from exaggerated. It has been known for some time, by people in the industry, that Radius was not paying their purveyors on time, if at all. Not only was I hearing this from my many friends that still worked at Radius, but I also heard it from various people, that worked for other restaurants, that purveyors were going around town mentioning the fact that Radius was not paying their bills. Then, yesterday morning, I heard from a friend that their last round of paychecks bounced. It was not more than a few hours later that I heard from two different employees telling me that Radius was closing.
UH-oh
Radius 10's website either developed a poorly timed failure - or - who knows?
http://www.radius10.com/
After bumping into former radius guests this weekend, Jason would be surprised to hear what they really think of him. It was refreshing to hear that guests picked up on the bad vibe he was giving off. Hmm-perhaps if you treated people a little better, Mr. Brumm, then you'd still have a functioning restaurant.
Good luck getting your check from Dave. I worked for wildwood and have been trying to get my check for a year now. The best you can do is notify the department of labor and let them know. If they get enough complaints, they'll investigate, just like they did with tangredi's.
It's sad this has happened to the employees, but dave deserves it! He is / was very abusive and doesn't deserve to own a restaurant.
Dave do you actually believe that you can take you dads success and turn it into your own!!! hahah... you are a worthless piece Of shit. Karma is a B*tch and I can promise you will get yours one day. Besides the fact that you screwed all of your people out of their paychecks you screwed my boy Justin Tatum!!! just remember it will all come back on you.... GOOD LUCK :)
