Events Ring In Chinese New Year With 10-Course Meal

Xin nian kuai le! New Year creeps in on little ox hooves as 2009 dawns Monday, Jan. 26, according to the Chinese lunar calendar. Kick off the Year of the Ox with an authentic 10-course Chinese meal at Golden Coast restaurant (1722 West End Ave.). Hosted by the Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville, the annual tradition costs $40 per person. According to the Chinese zodiac, people born in the year of the Ox tend to be patient and principled, so why not round up nine more oxen and get a table of 10 for just $380?
