Agave Tequila Lounge Closed

Posted by Carrington Fox on Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 8:43 AM

Happy hour hopefuls were met by a discouraging sign on the door of Agave Tequila Lounge lounge this week. The inauspicious sheet of paper read, "Due to poor economic conditions, we are no longer open for business. We thank you for your past patronage."

In fall 2007, Music Row veterans Ken Levitan, Ross Schilling and Chris Ferran, along with Scott Sherrill and Gulch developers Steve Armistead and Bill Barkley, transformed the former Pie Wagon building into the sultry South-of-the-border flavored establishment serving an array of tequilas, margaritas and Mexican-inspired cuisine. Agave eliminated lunch service last year and remained a 21-and-up establishment.

Were they 21 & up to allow smoking? I wonder when that will enter the financial equation? I know that personally, now that I have a choice, I have a hard time finding any good reason to go to a smoking establishment any more. Too much 'make up' smoking going on it seems - a veritable whew in grey for the ability to smoke without heading outside. I get it, I used to do it, I just haven't for years and don't want to smell like it when I go home. And now that it's cold the stink factor is four-pled...It's a shame, too, because I love the 21 & over crowd and ambience in general, just sans the smoke.
just wondering in the big analysis where smoking vs non-smoking is tracking on the economic indicators. anyone hear anything?

THIS is a small stepping stone on the path of a long journey to healing, and unmercifull retribution.

The same thing happened to Beethoven's. They went 21 & up smoking and they fell fast. They still owe us money...

What does that mean? That's what I was getting at earlier: Why do the posts talk about Natalie Evaro in the same breath as "retribution" and "get everything they deserve"? Contact us off-list if you prefer.
