Lunch For All of Us: Where to Eat When Voting No

Posted by Carrington Fox on Mon, Jan 12, 2009 at 12:02 PM

Fluffernutter, Mr. Pink and I are on our way to Howard School (800 Second Ave. N.) to vote No and No. Where should we eat while we're down there?

And by Howard School, I really meant Davidson County Election Commission Metro Office Building, next door. Voting could not have been easier or quicker.

I suggest Dandgure's Classic Southern Cookin' on Lafayette or the Copper Kettle on Hermitage. Other options are 3rd & Lindsley and the Hermitage Cafe.

Dandgure's is a good suggestion. Arnold's is a little further, but not bad. Hot Diggity Dog is nearby. Crema has sandwiches. Copper Kettle is a great suggestion. Andrea, tell a little about the food at 3rd and Lindsley.

I have only had dinner at 3rd & Lindsley, but they are open for lunch. It is a very close option to those who plan to early vote over the lunch hour. Their menu is posted on their website. Food is fine, mostly typical bar food.

NFD Station #9 is around the corner. There's always some good grub on the stove. Tell them I sent you. But you might want to take some homemade chocolate chip cookies as a goodwill gesture.
