Feeling peckish this weekend? Watch the home team help themselves to some tasty bird tomorrow afternoon in Hillsboro Village, where The Belcourt will broadcast the Titans-Ravens play-off game live at 3 p.m. on the big screen. Center Point Barbecue will be on hand with grub, and Stogies Cigar Bar will handle the celebratory (knock wood) post-game smokables.
The theater will also have pizza, popcorn and beer available. Kids are welcome too (hence the beer). Admission for the Belcourt fundraiser, sponsored by the Scene, is whatever you choose to donate at the door; $5 sounds about right. (Picture above swiped here.)

Such a disappointing game. But the family loved being at Belcourt. Beer! Popcorn! Our precious old friend and Titans incubus Laura Ellis!
We weren't that happy with the salty language around us but Laura Ellis shouted "THERE ARE CHILDREN HERE", and people apologized. Then she won a big ole cigar from Stogie's and gave it to us, so all was well. The Belcourt: Beats the Hell out of Your Own Living Room. Like the new motto?
I was probably one of your swearers.
Seriously, what's wrong with an f-word or s-word here or there? Aren't they better off hearing it with you around, not making a big deal of it, then elsewhere?
Signed, sick of pain-in-the-ass parents
I wasn't too uptight about the blue language, just a little embarrassed for those spewing it. Eloise had heard plenty watching Saving Private Ryan with us.
She leaned over to me after a string of hardy Anglo-Saxonisms had filled the air on the occasion of one of the Fumbles that Shall not be Forgotten: "Daddy, I think there are sailors in here."
