M&Ms Me!

Posted by Nicki Wood on Mon, Dec 15, 2008 at 8:00 AM

I know it is raining, and the sun is not sunny, but you can have lots of good fun that is funny, especially if you are stuck inside with children or in need of a party trick.

You maybe already found Office Max's Elf Yourself or the high-production value of Macy's "Be Claus", both little internetz viral gadgets that let you upload a photo of yourself to be turned into an amusing elf or a soul-patched Saint Nick in front of Macy's New York store.

Now that M&Ms can print photos onto the candies, you could immortalize almost anything on a chocolate button coated with a hard candy shell. But you'll want to test-drive it first before you print up a batch. M&Ms build-your-own-preview at mymms.com lets you load up a picture of your toes or your enemy onto the dummy candy, then supply a sophomoric and possibly profane message, and hey presto! Candy! The most hugely entertaining results come from unexpected pictures, like your grandma, "The Scream," the cat or yourself in hair rollers.

Have fun with it, Bites readers, and as always, report back on the results.

I dunno about putting a family member on candy that I'm about to eat.
On the other hand, putting a photo of a fat person on both sides of the candy might slow down the M&M bandits at my office.
