If only every holiday evening could be spent in a place as cozy as Crema, the sultry caffeinated haven in Rutledge Hill. Unfortunately, that's not the case, and far too many people are cold and homeless this season. So Crema owners Rachel and Ben Lehman are doing what they can to help. Now through Dec. 12, Crema is hosting an art show of local works. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds from the sale of art will benefit Safe Haven family shelter, a nonprofit organization that empowers homeless families with children to live independently.

On Dec. 12, Crema will host a party from 6 to 10 p.m.. Artists Thomas Petillo, Janet K. Lee, Stacie Berry and Aaron Grayum will be on hand, and wine and brewed coffee will be on the house. Crema is located at 15 Hermitage Ave.
