It would be hard to find a less productive time in the workplace than a Friday before Christmas. So Andrew Chadwick and the boys on Rutledge Hill are opening their culinary enclave for lunch on three Fridays during the holiday season.
The yuletide lunch schedule (Dec. 5, 12 and 19) coincides with the seasonal arrival of truffles from France, so if you're lucky, the midday menu might include a few shavings of black gold. There will also be a tasting of wild duck--with rillettes, cured breast and pate--cider-brined pork chop with pearl barley and fall vegetables, and risotto with wild mushrooms and chestnuts, among other lunch offerings.
Food will be lighter and prices will be lower than the standard Chadwick's dinner, and there will be no pressure to get in and out, because the table is yours for the day. Private rooms are available for up to 12 people. Reservations are available 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. by calling 254-8585. Andrew Chadwick's is located at 37 Rutledge St.
