Best of Nashville 2008: Let the Forks, Fists and Bullets Fly

The biggest single issue in the Nashville Scene's history just hit the stands, and its centerpiece is the 19th annual Best of Nashville contest. Here readers select their favorites in more than 200 categories—and then the writers chime in with supplements, alternatives, corrections, and in some cases (cough barbecue cough) flat-out rebuttals.

One of the biggest and most hotly contested sections is Food & Drink. Who makes the city's best cupcakes? Who did voters choose as Nashville's hottest chef and coolest restaurant, and did Carrington's picks match up? You'll find the readers' choices here, the writers' choices here—and plenty to talk about and argue with in between.

I just want to say that Cuppycakes did the cupcakes for my rehearsal dinner four months ago, and people are STILL talking about them. Not only were they beautiful, but they were extremely tasty. We also ordered petit-fours, which were delicious as well.
