I love toast. Like roast and fries, it's a noun and a verb and delicious. My friend Lisa found a fun toast website, The Toast Shop, offering “toast by post,” each slice lovingly crafted by skilled toasting professionals.
The website wags named the toasts for properties of the British royal family (Balmoral, Sandringham), and lavish luxurious copy on each variety. It's a clever site, worth a visit.
So what other homey food stuffs could we dub “handcrafted” in order to wring maximum dollars from shoppers?
