Plenty to Do at Mambu

Mambu may have stopped serving lunch until the jackhammers leave the construction site across the street, but fret not. When the dust settles at quitting time every day, Anita Hartel and Corey Griffith are still dishing out their creative blend of local ingredients prepared with Far Eastern and Caribbean flair. (Think mariscada, pad Thai and Korean barbecue beef.)

Mambu recently launched Wednesday Wine Club, with two wines and an appetizer designed by Corey for $12. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, bottles of wine are 25 percent off. Monday through Friday at happy hour, you can choose from five different drinks and five different appetizers for $5 each between 5 and 7 p.m.

That should be plenty to hold you till November, when the five-story Hutton Hotel on Hayes Street is slated to be finished and you can once again dine on Mambu's patio in peace and quiet during the day.

Located at 1806 Hayes St., Mambu serves dinner 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
