Bites All in a Day's Work

Food critic Fox just came in my office. "What's up?" I asked. "Just 'bout to try to fry an egg on the sidewalk," she said, with not a hint of sarcasm in her voice. For someone who not long ago orchestrated a Diet Coke/Mentos explosion in the parking lot with an entire newspaper staff agog, the egg-frying bit is all just part of a day's work.
She had her lunch with her too: Kroger brand Lacey Swiss cheese and some mean-looking salami, which she was eating straight from the plastic packaging.
Maybe next week's Scene will have a cold-cut review. We'll keep you posted about that egg too.
