Welcome to Bites

Welcome to Bites, a veritable buffet of gastronomic news and musings about the Nashville dining scene. We'll still print reviews and news in the paper every Wednesday, but consider Bites the place for between-meal snacks. Food critic Carrington Fox, along with staffers Jack Silverman, Jim Ridley, John Pitcher, Lee Stabert, Steve Haruch, Chris Spoltore and I will be posting daily tidbits about restaurants, farmers markets, trendy foods, new menu items and personal cravings, and we invite you to chime in with your own morsels.

Expect both low-brow and high-brow fare here—from news about the greasiest greasy spoons we can find to wine tastings and sous vide, from nuggets about new restaurants to poetic descriptions of vile menu items, from dissertations on Nolensville Road food cart delicacies to critiques of the most expensive lobster bisque in the city.
