Feed me, Seymour

After attending Sunday church services, a woman stopped for a bite to eat. Upon returning home, the woman’s roommate, 24, went ballistic when she found out the victim ate lunch and did not bother to bring her any food. “The suspect picked up a kitchen knife and moved toward the victim while yelling at her,” police say. “The suspect chased the victim out of the house.” Officers responded to the scene and arrested the woman for aggravated assault.

Numerous phone calls about an intoxicated woman on Murfreesboro Pike led police to a 40-year-old suspect staggering along the road with an open Busch Ice tall-boy can in a brown paper bag. As officers pulled up, the woman “lifted up her shirt and flashed vehicles that were passing by.” Police say they asked the suspect how much alcohol she had consumed, to which she responded “not enough.” When asked why she was exposing her breasts to people, she said that she “wanted everyone to see what she paid for.” The perp was busted for public intoxication and public indecency.

Devout drinker

Employees of a Sonic Drive-In restaurant called police to report a man asleep on a bench on the property. Responding officers reportedly asked the suspect if he was OK, and he responded, “I will be if I get another beer.” When police directed the man to perform several field-sobriety tests, he lunged forward until he was about an inch away from one of the officers and shouted, “Take me to jail then, you atheist motherfucker.” Officers did just that, booking the 49-year-old man for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Family feud

An argument between three sisters turned violent when one of the women threw a cup of water at one sister, who is pregnant, and then charged at her. The 21-year-old Madison woman then attacked the other sister, who attempted to intervene. “During the fight, the defendant grabbed a wood-handled broom and was beating the other sister,” police say. The suspect then ran outside, broom in hand, and began smashing up her sister’s car, causing dents and scratches, and breaking out the driver’s side window. Police arrested the primary aggressor for aggravated assault and vandalism. There’s no word on what caused the altercation.
