Suspect Behavior

Fodder for the water cooler

A company Christmas party at the Opryland Hotel ended in embarrassment (and pain) for one man after his 31-year-old wife bit and kicked him in front of his co-workers. The couple got into an argument and the suspect allegedly grabbed her husband by the arms and then “bit both hands leaving marks on the victim,” police say. She then began kicking her husband before losing her balance and falling to the ground. “The victim attempted to bear hug the suspect in an attempt to stop her,” according to witnesses, but she continued kicking and thrashing about. When police arrived, the incredibly drunk woman insisted, “I don’t remember anything.”

Another one bites the dust

A Donelson man called police when his girlfriend showed up at his apartment drunk, screaming and accompanied by two rather large male acquaintances. “During the time she was at the house, she bit the victim on the right bicep,” according to police. The 25-year-old suspect then threw the victim’s television down the stairs and cut his Social Security card and driver’s license in half before taking off with his car keys and wallet, which contained $85. The woman left with her entourage before police arrived, but she was later booked for domestic assault, theft and vandalism.

Three strikes, you’re out

An intoxicated customer who was thrown out of a bar and placed in a cab just wasn’t ready to call it a night and, instead, exited the taxi about a block away and returned to argue with staff. A police officer who saw the altercation flagged down a second cab and placed the unruly patron in the backseat, but the suspect jumped out after a short distance and again returned to the scene. The officer hailed yet another cab and, once inside, the suspect started “spitting on the windows and yelling at the driver.… He was then ejected.” The 29-year-old rabble-rouser began yelling and cursing in the street and then “punched the front windshield of the cab.” Obviously not interested in going home, the man finally was cuffed and taken to jail instead.
