Wait, this is Goody’s country? We’ll keep that in mind if we’re ever looking for pain relievers in our grandparents’ medicine cabinet. What’s the official lozenge ’round these parts? Sucrets? How are we fixed for liniments? Please tell us you have nothing against Absorbine Jr. And don’t look now, Richard Petty. Here comes Jeff Gordon in the Blue Star ointment car. Of course, all these old-timey products may be hanging out at the Music City Motorplex because the sponsorships are cheaper. We wonder if minor league racing is enough of a draw for the State Fairgrounds property. We aren’t saying we’re in the “No Racetrack” camp, but we’re going to need some convincing between now and October when the Motorplex lease is up. School bus races in front of 60 fans aren’t getting the job done.
