“You know how some British people pronounce ‘schedule’ as shedule? That’s all that’s happening here.” Sorry, Cora Howe Elementary. We’re not buying it. If only “school” wasn’t spelled correctly on the same damn sign. Thank heavens you didn’t try to spell “elementary.” But here’s a thought: wouldn’t it be subversive if Karl Dean operatives had rearranged the sign, thinking it might draw voters to his platform of improvements for K-4 education? Well, it looks like it worked, mayor. Now let’s see some results. We know there’s someone at Cora Howe who wouldn’t do so well on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? and probably shouldn’t be molding young minds. While we’re at it, see if Bredesen will make TennCare a little more like House and Grey’s Anatomy. The new fall season is almost here!
