Residents of the Whitland neighborhood (of Fourth of July parade fame) met with employees of NES (of Green Power Switch fame) on Saturday to discuss trimming and removing trees along Kingfisher Creek. Some questions: will NES try to work with the homeowners to reach some sensible accommodations? Will the homeowners offer any realistic compromises? Will the limb from which this swing hangs be removed? Do Whitland residents want their kids swinging over a creek that has been added to TDEC’s 303 (d) list for not meeting water quality standards? Why must NES mark trees so it looks like a paintball match has taken place?
