Soup Sunday takes the ultimate comfort fooda hot, hearty bowl of soupto the bank with a fund-raising event for OUR KIDS Center, a nonprofit organization providing medical and psychological evaluations for children who may have been abused. The 11th annual Soup Sunday takes place 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, at Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel. More than 40 restaurants will vie for the titles of Best Soup, Most Creative Soup and Judges’ Choice. New this year is The Chef’s Challenge, a timed competition among five chefs vying for the title of “Souper Chef.” Soup Sunday’s Wine and Food Auction has been expanded this year as well, and there will also be entertainment for children. Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for children/students or $35 maximum per family. Provence Bakery & Cafe is providing artisan breads and desserts. For information, call 341-4917.
