SceneCast
Scenecast 44 is the soundtrack to Labor Day, our most ironically named of all holidays. As the old Wobblies break out their Pete Seeger records, sing along to “Union Maid” and toast Fidel’s health, you can enjoy the capitalist amenities of watercraft, gas grills and microbrews while grooving to Scratch Track, The Fundamental Elements, Rocket From The Tombs, Stone Jack Jones, Cortney Tidwell, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys, Altered Statesman, Lone Official, Ghostfinger, The Robert Cray Band, Marion James, Joe Lovano, Bound Stems, Zolar X, and the inconvenient rock of the Gore Gore Girls. Spread The Love.

The Scenecast is in MPEG-4 format to take advantage of chapter and image technology that .m4a files support. Microsoft's Windows Media Player doesn't support these files by default, though users can download and install Windows Media Player additions so that it will.
As an alternative to updating Windows Media Player, a .mp3 version of the Scenecast is available above. And, of course, Apple's iTunes supports .m4a files for both Windows and Macintosh platforms.
You may also subscribe to the Scenecast and have iTunes download it for you automatically whenever the latest episode is available. To subscribe, launch iTunes and follow the steps below:
- Right-click (Control-click on a Mac) on the RSS/XML link above and then click Copy Shortcut (Internet Explorer) or Copy Link Location (Firefox) on the menu.
- Launch iTunes.
- On the Advanced menu, click Subscribe to podcast.
- Paste (CTRL-V on Windows, Command-V on a Mac) the link you copied in Step 1 into the URL field.
- iTunes will download the latest episode of Scenecast into the Podcasts group of your iTunes library. You can modify how often iTunes checks for updates, how long it keeps old episodes, and more by choosing Preferences under the Edit menu and then clicking the Podcasts tab.
