Want to convince people they absolutely, positively have to move to Tennessee, no matter what they hear about our legislature and wacky law-making? Find a way to lock their TV in to NPT-Channel 8 for this gorgeous slice of scenery porn, filled with wide-angle views of some of the state’s most staggering natural attractions. Take a flashlight tour through Clarksville’s Dunbar Cave, see trees laced with icicles at Montgomery Bell State Park, survey the wreckage of Civil War artillery in the rocky quiet of Stones River Battlefield, and feel your knees buckle while taking in the precipice of Stone Door Hollow. Ed Jones wrote, directed and produced the documentary, and Ed Bruce’s rugged narration convinces us he’s the man to take Sam Elliott’s place in any planned remake of Road House.
