After taming the wilds of East Nashville, MCI’s intrepid improvisers return to the west side of the Cumberland and the familiar surroundings of Writer’s Stage for shows the next two Fridays. The company continues to work diligently at promoting its musical chops, so expect more spontaneous singing and songcraft, which, like everything else in their lineup of games and scenes, is inspired by off-the-cuff audience suggestions. The Nov. 27 show may prove particularly energetic and fun, since most of these players were members of Improv Nashville in 2008, when an excellent day-after-Thanksgiving house proved that the local crowd enjoys getting out, laughing and forgetting about shopping and turkey for a little while.
