Art at its best is blessed with the courage of its maker. So if you’re going to bare your soul to the public on canvas, in wire or in stone, it helps to be out of the closet. It’s dark in there. No opportunities for feedback. Today Nashville’s most prominent gallery owners come together in gratitude and celebration of those who’ve found the light with Artrageous, the city-spanning gallery tour and blockbuster party that benefits Nashville CARES and their fight against AIDS and ignorance in middle Tennessee. The 10-gallery tour includes Local Color, the Tennessee Art League and Tinney Contemporary and closes at Limelight with an after-party catered by Bacon & Caviar and sponsored by Absolut Vodka. If Artrageous.org is any indication of the party itself, it’s going to be a very Charlie and the Chocolate Factory evening. Tickets are available through Artrageous.org.
