Jim Lauderdale and Friends at The RymanBy Chris ParkerPublished on November 05, 2009 at 3:40amYou couldnt ask for a better cast of traditional-minded artists to support ThanksUSA, a non-profit group whose annual national Treasure Hunts through the annals of American history benefit the children and spouses of military service members. Lauderdales written numerous hits for others (George Strait, Dixie Chicks) while filtering his country and pop predilections through a love of bluegrass across more than a dozen albums the last two decades. His lonesome tenor aches abetted by homespun wisdom and a wry humor (I Met Jesus In a Bar).
