On Saturday Night Live, he was the doofy, surprisingly statuesque cast member responsible for anchoring “Weekend Update” as well as breathing life into such memorable characters as Subliminal Man and the latter half of muscle-headed duo Hans and Franz. On Weeds, the doofy, surprisingly statuesque cast member responsible for anchoring Nancy’s pot business as well as deeply inhaling his way through such memorable shenanigans as starting a bakery/drug-smuggling front and serving as the latter half of love-struck immigrant-smuggling duo Andy and Doug. Onstage, Nealon lands both somewhere in the middle of both extremes and completely off-the-map altogether, unleashing similar lightning-quick asides and a whirlwind of absurd affectations to those featured on his brand-new DVD Now Hear Me Out!: Live from Hollywood.
