A Bad Year for Tomatoes

By Martin Brady

Published on August 28, 2008 at 3:41am

Actually, what with the recent salmonella scare, this was a bad year for tomatoes. Presumably, the Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre resurrection of this John Patrick comedy will be more fruitful. The company last performed Patrick's tale of a Hollywood actress getting away from it all in 2001, with Martha Wilkinson in the lead. Rebekah Durham stars this time around, and she's supported by Kevin Raymond, Keith Hardy, Layne Sasser, Pam Atha, Adam Burnett and Joy Tilley Perryman--the latter two reprising their roles from the previous successful production. Lydia C. Bushfield directs.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sun., Aug. 31, 2 p.m. Starts: Aug. 28. Continues through Oct. 4, 2008
