"If the American justice system does not meet your weighty expectations, please pile back to Syria, that fair land of justice and wisdom."—Reader KP Ryan, responding to last week's story "Spare the Rod," in which Mohamed Sankari complained that U.S. laws prevented him from disciplining his daughter. Sankari and other relatives were charged with beating the girl after she confessed to having sex with her boyfriend.
